The Radiante is the result of twenty years of studies dedicated to music reproduction in which we have concentrated the manufacturing excellence of “Made in Italy”.
When you listen to music with a Spirit Torino headphone you will hear a lively, passionate and refined sound …. the sound of Italy.
BORN TO SATISFY MUSICIANS
The Radiante is the first closed-back headphone of Spirit Torino, and represents an innovation in the world of high-end headphones.
We have concentrated in this headphone years of experience by rethinking the concept of a closed-back headphone from scratch.
The main feature of a closed-back, the isolation from and to the outside world, is what makes the design so much more complex.
ALL A GAME OF PRESSURES
The passive radiator allows the headphone to simulate a larger load volume and to optimize the drive movement, ensuring a low-frequency response which typical of Spirit Torino headphones.
The Radiante provides fast, powerful and controlled bass like no other closed-back headphone does.
MANY HEADPHONES, ONE HEART
The Radiante shares with the entire Spirit Torino range the same motor, built to our specifications by drive wizard Jaco Burger, as well as the same degree of factory tuning, including the insertion of damping material, additional magnets and ventilation holes as provided by the design.
TOP NOTCH COMFORT AND SOUND ISOLATION
In this headphone we have implemented specific technical solutions to avoid the common downsides of closed-back headphones:
⁃ External pressure compensation holes with sound insulation to avoid pressure on the eardrum and the related “hollow” effect.
⁃ earpads made in collaboration with Dekoni which provide the finest leather on the outside and perforated leather on the inside to optimize the acoustics of the chamber while the Alcantara® guarantees breathability and hygiene on the skin.
⁃ The forward-bent configuration of the earpad has the double purpose of better adapting the headphone to the ear and the head and projecting the soundstage frontally.
– Headbands made of very finest leathers with anatomic padding.
TUNED BY SOUND CRAFTSMEN
Tuning in such a complex project is fundamental for the satisfying listening experience of the enthusiast and for a reliable reproduction required by professional.
Over time, we have better understood the importance of the isophonic (Fletcher-Munson or equal sensitivity) curve for the human ear and how to apply it to shape the frequency response of our headphones, in order to preserve the music’s essence.
Through the continuous interaction with musicians and sound engineers, and after a long series of tests, both in the lab as in the field, the Radiante, like all Spirit headphones, has been refined to achieve an extraordinary level of performance, suitable for every use.
A FRAME UP TO EXPECTATIONS
In the Spirit tradition, the frame is designed so as not to color the music and is entirely made of solid, milled aluminum, internally treated with Dynamat® dampening and other anti-reflective materials to make it unaffected by the vibrations generated by the drive.
INERTIAL FRAME FOR A LIVE DYNAMIC IMPACT
The weight of a Spirit headset is carefully calibrated to form the so-called inertial frame system, which is a frame that supports with its mass the dynamic pulse generated by the drive’s piston-like movement, without any significant recoil, thus preserving the dynamic efficiency of the headphone for a live feeling.
The Radiante is aimed at a demanding public that will use the headphones with high-performance devices, we have therefore foreseen connections for devices with multiple standards. The following are the available terminations at the customer’s choice:
3,5mm and 6,3mm TRS jack; TRRS 2,5mm, Pentaconn 4,4 mm, 4-pin XLR
A TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED EARPAD
We have developed the Radiante earpads in strict collaboration with Dekoni, the leading headphone earpads manufacturer.
Shape, tilt, surface treatment … nothing has been left to chance.
But the choice of materials is the real highlight of this project.
- – Very finest leather for the side surfaces, identical to that used for headbands
- – Alcantara for the part that rests on the ear.
Alcantara, besides being a product of excellence Made in Italy, guarantees an exceptional performance package: you will realize this by wearing the Radiante for several hours.
Architect Walter Carzan has designed a Box for Spirit Torino that can embodies the very essence of Andrea Ricci’s projects.
The result is an essential project, which language, made of defined lines and precious materials, holds and protects an instrument that is born as a tribute to music.
A TIPICALLY “MADE IN ITALY” COLOR PALETTE
Spirit Torino offers a wide choice of colors for frames and lining leathers without forgetting the Spirit Art Line Limited Editions, which stand out for their unique graphics and engravings.

SPIRIT TORINO REJECTS “HYPER REALITY”
Many of the so-called “audiophile” headphones of late pursue a spectacularization of the sound with “sparkly” high frequencies, boosted lows and an extreme, often unnatural soundstage, all of it achieved through a pre-equalization of the headphones.
This style of sound does not respect the essence of the music being reproduced and predisposes the listener to hear music at a volume lower than that of the actual event resulting in a “clinical” rather than natural listening.
A REFERENCE FOR PROFESSIONALS
Just like a photographer needs to balance white, an audio professional needs a timbrically reliable reference to optimize his work.
ALTA FEDELTÀ PER SPIRIT VUOL DIRE ANCHE RISPETTARE IL VOLUME A CUI LA MUSICA È STATA SUONATA
High fidelity to us also means respecting the volume at which the music has been originally played.
The behavior of our auditory system has been described in a series of studies carried out since the 1930’s to define the perception of sound at with varying frequencies and sound intensities.
Isophonic (Fletcher-Munson) curves graphically describe this behavior.
AN HOMAGE TO PIETRO MICCA, AN ITALIAN HERO
This version shows the map of the Turin citadel under the French siege in the year 1706.
The defensive geometries that take shape on the surfaces of this headphone make this version unique.
Between the 13th and 14th of May, 1706, the ground around the capital of the Duchy of Savoy trembled under the boots of forty thousand approaching soldiers.
It was a threatening and aggressive horde, with the order to assault and conquer the last Piedmontese bastion before the final victory over Vittorio Amedeo II, ruler of a territory for the most part devoured by the invaders of France and by the iron fist of Louis the XIV, the Sun King, who aspired to impose his nephew Filippo di Borbone on the throne of Spain by opening acts of war against his Habsburg opponents.
